Privacy Policy

Shadowban Checker (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Reaktör Teknoloji Tic. Ltd. Şti. (trading as Reactll), a company registered in Türkiye with its registered office in İstanbul, which acts as the data controller for the information described here. The App helps TikTok creators understand whether their content’s reach is being limited. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We built the App to read as little as possible.

1. Information We Collect

If you use the iOS app

The iOS app (version 1.1 and later) works like this website: you sign in by connecting your TikTok account through TikTok’s official Login Kit, with the same read-only permissions listed in the next section. To run your checks and, if you subscribe, to monitor your account daily, we store on our servers: your TikTok user ID, username, display name, avatar link and follower count; your TikTok access tokens (encrypted at rest); a snapshot when you first connect and, if you’re on Pro, one each day from the automatic check (your reach score, the signals it found, and the view counts and a short caption excerpt of the videos behind those signals); on the free plan, the time of each check you run, so we can apply the free plan’s daily limit (2 checks per rolling 24 hours, shared between the website and the app); and, only if you enter one, the email address we send reach-drop alerts to. The checks you run in the app are analysed on your iPhone and their results stay on the device, in the app’s local storage.

Pro in the iOS app is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details or your Apple ID. Apple tells us the subscription’s transaction identifier and status so we can switch Pro on for your account.

On launch the app also asks our update service (Expo Application Services, a processor acting on our instructions) whether a newer version of its code is available, and may report crash and error diagnostics so we can fix faults. These carry the app version and platform, are not linked to your identity, and are never used for tracking, profiling or advertising. The app contains no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK.

You can delete your account at any time, on the website (Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account) or inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). This revokes our access to your TikTok account and permanently deletes the data we store about you. A website subscription is canceled when you delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

Version 1.0 of the app did not connect to TikTok or to our servers: figures were typed in by hand and never left the device.

If you connect your TikTok account (website or iOS app)

You authorize us — through TikTok’s official Login Kit and Display API — to access:

• Basic profile (user.info.basic): your TikTok user ID, display name, and avatar.
• Profile details (user.info.profile): your username (@handle), profile link, and verified status.
• Account stats (user.info.stats): your follower count.
• Public video metrics (video.list): for your recent videos — view count, like count, comment count, share count, duration, video dimensions (width and height), creation time, caption text, and cover image.

We only access public statistics about your own videos. We do not access your private messages, drafts, contacts, or the content of other accounts.

We also process your subscription status (whether you have an active Pro subscription). For web subscriptions this is handled by our merchant of record Creem; for subscriptions bought in the iOS app, by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.

Our website’s hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and reliability; these are not used for advertising or profiling. With your consent, our website also uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic so we can improve the site — analytics cookies load only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice anytime. See our Cookie Policy for the exact cookies and how to opt in or out. Separately, our website runs its own cookieless visit measurement: which pages are viewed, for how long and how far down, which links and buttons are clicked, and where the visit came from (referring site or campaign tag). It stores a random ID and a visit counter in your browser’s local storage, stores no IP address (location is city-level, from our hosting network), and never records what you type. If you connect TikTok, visits are linked to your account. This data is deleted after 13 months. We run no advertising or profiling SDKs, and the iOS app uses no analytics of any kind.

If you sign up with your email

You can optionally sign up with your email on our website, either before or instead of connecting TikTok. When you do, we collect the first name, last name and email address you enter, and whether you chose to receive marketing emails. We use this to create and identify your account, to contact you about it, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional product updates and reach tips. Marketing consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time (see “Your Rights and Choices”). We never sell this information or use it for advertising profiling.

Activity log (website and iOS app)

We keep a short activity log — when you connect, run checks, hit the free limit and your answer to the Account Check question, with the platform you used — for support, abuse prevention and to understand how the product is used. It holds no captions, tokens or IP addresses and is deleted after 90 days, or with your account. We also keep a record of changes to your subscription (for example started, renewed or canceled) with your account, so we can resolve billing questions.

We keep anonymous copies of Account Check answers together with the score and signals we measured (no link to your account) for up to two years, to improve the accuracy of our analysis.

For Pro users, the daily automatic check also stores the daily view counts of your recent videos (views, likes, comments and shares of your 20 newest videos), kept for 90 days, so we can measure how views build up over time and make our reach estimates more accurate.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To compute your visibility / reach-limit risk analysis from your video metrics. In the iOS app the analysis runs on your device, from the video statistics TikTok returns.
• For Pro users, to monitor your account on a daily basis and notify you if your reach drops.
• To apply the free plan’s daily check limit across the website and the iOS app.
• To operate, secure, and improve the App.

3. How We Store and Retain Data

• iOS app: the account data described above is kept on our servers until you delete your account. The checks you run are also saved in the app’s local storage on your device until you delete them or remove the app.
• Connected accounts on the website (Free and Pro): we store your TikTok user ID, username, display name, avatar link and follower count; your TikTok access tokens (encrypted at rest); a snapshot of your latest check each day — your reach score, the signals it found, and the view counts and a short caption excerpt of the videos behind those signals; and, on the free plan, the time of each check you run, so we can apply the daily limit (2 checks per rolling 24 hours, shared between the website and the app). This lets your dashboard show your recent results. We do not store your full video list or cover images.
• Pro users (and the 14 days of a Recovery Plan): we also run a check automatically once a day and keep each day’s snapshot, so you can see your trend and when a restriction started.
• 7-day re-check (Free, only if you ask for it): we store the email address you give us and the date the re-check is due. On that date we run one check of your connected account, save it as a snapshot like any other check, and email you the result once. We keep the reminder record until you delete your account; we don’t use that email for marketing.
• Check times (free plan) are kept until you delete your account; only the last 24 hours are used for the limit.
• The activity log is deleted after 90 days, or with your account. The record of subscription changes is kept until you delete your account.
• Website visit measurement is deleted after 13 months; if you delete your account, visits are unlinked from it.
• Daily view counts (Pro) are deleted after 90 days, or with your account. Anonymous Account Check answers have no link to your account and are deleted after 2 years.
• Email sign-ups: your name, email and marketing preference are retained until you ask us to delete them or you unsubscribe; we remove them on request.
• When you disconnect your TikTok account or delete the App, we stop collecting new data and delete stored metrics associated with your account upon request.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We use a limited set of service providers strictly to operate the App (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and crash reporting), and they may process data only on our behalf.

For web subscriptions, Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia) acts as the Merchant of Record and processes your payment and billing information (including your email and billing details) as an independent controller for that purpose, under Creem’s Privacy Notice. We receive only your subscription status and the email you use for billing (to send visibility alerts).

For subscriptions bought in the iOS app, Apple processes the payment as seller, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive only the subscription’s transaction identifier and status.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Revoke access at any time in your TikTok settings (Manage app permissions) or by disconnecting inside the App.
• Delete your account on the website under Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account, in the iOS app under Profile → Delete Account, or by contacting us. This revokes our TikTok access and deletes your stored data.
• Access or delete the data we hold about you by contacting us.
• Withdraw marketing consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us — this does not affect your account or your checks.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA.

6. TikTok’s Terms

Your use of TikTok is governed by TikTok’s own terms and privacy policy. We access TikTok data solely with your authorization and in accordance with TikTok’s Developer Terms and Display API rules.

7. Children

The App is intended for users who are old enough to hold a TikTok account in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
